The employer is a sizable retailer and wholesaler of fitness equipment across Canada. The business has 6 retail store, 2 large warehouses, shopify store and will be developing a commercial branch in the future.
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance our brand presence, engage with our audience, and drive traffic to our digital platforms and brick-and-mortar locations across AB and BC. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing trends, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create visually appealing content using AI, graphic design and live video showing acrual products.
Secondary duties of this position will be to help with sales desk and showroom at the Calgary store/headquarters. This involves sales, customer service, product assembly, general labour moving products.
Primary Duties
- Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Create engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.
- Utilize graphic design skills to produce visually appealing graphics and promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform content creation and strategy adjustments.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, respond to comments, and manage community interactions.
- Analyze performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Hootsuite to track the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Assist with the optimization of content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and reach.
- Collaborate with SEO/Google Ads specialist to align social media initiatives with broader marketing goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Skilled communicator.
- Proficiency in graphic design tasks.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience using social media management tools like Hootsuite.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and analyze data effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for staying updated on the latest trends in social media and digital marketing.
