We are looking to fill the position of Snowmaker at Fernie Alpine Resort. You execute the resort's goals of producing and maintaining high-quality snow surfaces as you know there is no ski season without snowmakers. You are the key to winter season success. The ideal candidate will have both snowmobile and record-keeping experience, be self-confident, physically capable, and desire to work outside in a mountain environment. You Will:
- Maintain & monitor entire snowmaking system (pumps, hoses & snow guns)
- Shovel and clear ice
- Roll and pack hoses
- Perform general labor tasks as needed
- Keep records of general snowmaking details
- Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
- Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
You Have:
- Physical capability
- Ability and desire to work outdoors (day or night) in winter
- Self-confidence, reliability, and are a quick learner
- Abiliity to drive a snowmobile (an asset)
- The capability to work various, round the clock shifts
- Prior experience in related field (an asset)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive wage: $18.50/hour
