We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Labourer who has concrete experience to join the team at the Cambie Street Bridge Project in Vancouver!
Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, drill, and chip concrete using tools like power saws, drills, and jackhammers
- Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete using tools like pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools
- Operate other power tools like the vibrator to compact concrete
- Assist with concrete pours
- Assist with concrete formwork and stripping formwork
- Operate the telehandler and/or mobile elevated work platforms
- General site cleanup and housekeeping
- Review work area for damages
- Assist with other duties as required
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry
- Experience with operating a Telehandler & Elevated Work Platforms considered an asset
- Experience using power tools required
- Must have safety tickets: CSTS/ WHMIS, & Fall Pro
- Experience working with concrete is considered an asset
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, walk on uneven ground
- Capable of learning through on-the-job training
- Reliable transportation
- Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
