Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Skid Steer and Packer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly with skid steers and packers, and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with road remediation and construction. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring high-quality work.
Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders for various tasks including digging, grading, and moving materials.
- Perform loader operation duties to assist in site preparation and material handling.
- Operate ground compaction equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with skid steers.
- Familiarity with other machinery such as graders, backhoes, and loaders is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial driving is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ability to perform tasks related to paving and site preparation effectively.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications for heavy equipment operation are preferred.
