What does your day look like at Edon?
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of operations of assigned building portfolio, including guiding, supporting and training employees and subcontractors while they are on site
- Participate in training of new personnel, and in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and policies as they pertain to the operational needs of the assigned building portfolio
- Perform regular building operations and maintenance responsibilities as required
- Work alongside operational and contract management teams to effectively carry out property management activities, serving both as a gauge of service quality, as well as a technical resource within areas of responsibility
- Ensure contract terms are met, including reporting requirements and ensure specified standards are adhered to in accordance with contract provisions
- Respond to service requests and emergencies
- Act as the face of Edon — building positive relationships and representing the organization professionally when interacting with clients, tenants, and subcontractors on-site
What do you need to succeed?
- Valid new 4th Class or 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate
- Minimum of five years hands-on building operations experience, preferably in a commercial building environment
- Experience in a Power Engineering lead role involving team management considered an asset
- Comprehensive understanding of building operations and building systems
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building management control systems (BMCS)
- Exceptional skills in customer service, client liaising, and leadership, with the ability to lead a team of staff to achieve standards and accomplish objectives
- Valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Avaible for on call rotation
