Shuttle Driver
About the Role
In the position of Shuttle Driver, the successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting employees or goods between designated locations on a set route or schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual and safety-focused.
ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company shuttle vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Transport passengers or cargo between specified pick-up and drop-off points.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shuttle vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Maintain a log of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts if required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisory staff regarding route changes, delays, or incidents.
- Provide friendly, courteous service to all passengers.
- Additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Previous commercial driving or shuttle experience is an asset.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Must be comfortable driving in varying weather conditions.
- May involve sitting for long periods.
