The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments. This role ensures that parts, components, equipment, and tools are shipped, received, and recorded accurately, efficiently, and safely. The Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting field technicians, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Duties
- Prepare, package, and ship crane parts, components, and equipment in accordance with company standards and shipping regulations.
- Generate and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.
- Schedule and track outgoing shipments; resolve issues with delays, damages, or lost items.
Receiving Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Document received goods in inventory system (ERP-based).
- Tag and store incoming inventory in designated locations.
- Notify relevant departments (Service, Projects, Sales) of received components or tools.
Operational Support:
- Support service technicians by pulling and preparing parts/tools for upcoming service jobs.
- Assist in preparing equipment for customer delivery or in-shop repair.
- Coordinate with project managers, buyers, and service teams to meet project timelines and customer requirements.
- General assistance with property and building maintenance.
- Keep the warehouse and yard clean and organized at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Prior experience in Shipping/Receiving or warehousing (preferably within the industrial equipment sector).
Skills:
- Forklift: Must be able to confidently load and unload crane equipment exceeding 30’ in length.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in documentation and communication.
- Teamwork: Actively participates and collaborates with team members.
- Technology: Proficiency with Outlook and ERP systems.
Qualifications:
- Warehouse and yard environment with exposure to industrial equipment and machinery.
- Outdoor work required.
- May involve extended periods of standing, lifting, and forklift operation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
