Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for managing inventory, handling shipments, and ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Duties:
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers using forklifts or other equipment
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure they meet specifications
- Prepare materials for shipment by packaging, labeling, and securing them properly
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
