We are an Authorized Pump & Filter Distributor and Service Center that has been successfully operating in Canada since 1988. We sell industrial equipment across the country, operate in over a dozen different industries, and represent industry leading manufacturers.
The general warehouse shipper & receiver is responsible for all activities surrounding the movement of material within the warehouse from the time of its arrival until its shipment to the customer. These activities include shipping and receiving, shelving stock items, picking and packaging orders, order deliveries, vendor pick ups, and warehouse maintenance.
REPORTING
This position reports to the Operations Manager and works in concert with other team members to achieve and/or exceed team objectives as determined by the set goals of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload shipments from vendors as required
- Check items received against the packing slip and our purchase order
- Inspect items/boxes/skids for any possible damages
- Notify Inventory Control of any discrepancies and/or damages
- Post receiving documents into computer system
- Put items into proper locations as necessary
- Keeping the inventory organized stocked correctly and making changes to the computer system of any changes in BIN location numbers
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager on return processing
- Receive vendor returns and check against the packing slip
- Match with corresponding return authorization and pass onto the respective inside sales personnel
- Ensure orders are shipped by the expected ship date
- Scheduling courier pick-ups for outgoing orders (daily)
- Pick items on work order ensuring that any special instructions on the order are followed
- Responsible for end-of-year inventory cycle counts (with assistance from the Operations Manager)
- Ensure that the order is properly packaged and labeled
- Determine and liaise with the carrier re weight, shipment measurement and freight costs
- Call or e-mail for customer and freight pick-ups
- Operate a company vehicle to deliver orders in the local GTA region weekly
- Present professional positive image, and be cordial with customers, carriers, and co-workers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Service and maintain warehouse facility
- Requisition packaging supplies from Inventory Control
- Assembly of items on attached list
- All other duties assigned by the Sales & Operations Managers respectively
Additional Information:
- Must be able to lift heavy boxes
- Fluent in writing, speaking and reading English
- Forklift license is required
- Prior experience is preferred
- Sage 300 experience is an asset
- Valid G License for vehicle operation

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
