JOB DESCRIPTION
Currently, we are looking for an ambitious, well-rounded individual to be our next Shipper/Receiver who is interested in becoming an Electrical Apprentice. For this position, the successful candidate will spend the first year of their apprenticeship as our Shipper/Receiver to get a solid understanding of the materials involved in our industry and to gain knowledge of the company policies and procedures. This position will be an indentured electrical apprentice position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
· Check all shipments against packing slips as they arrive at our shop
· Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to our Purchaser
· Pick materials from inventory to fulfill job site material requests
· Pick up orders from suppliers and receive against packing slips
· Prepare material pick-ups for each job site
· Deliver materials to various job sites
· Assist with job site demobilizations
· Return material to bin locations once demobilized from a job site
· Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
· Observe shop material stock levels and report to the purchaser when necessary
· Responsible for signing company tools & vehicles in and out
· Perform tool and equipment maintenance
· Direct delivery trucks and help drivers load/unload goods
· Take scrap materials to recyclers
· Other ad hoc duties as requested by your supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma
· CSTS 2020 is a prerequisite for this position
· Proven, exceptional time management and organizational skills, and high attention to detail
· Ability to present a professional image to co-workers, clients, and vendors
· Able to lift to 75lbs
· Valid Class 5 driver's license
· Prior construction experience would be considered an asset
· Experience driving delivery trucks would be considered an asset
· Forklift experience will be considered an asset

Pay: $19.00-22.00 per hour
