SHIPPER/RECEIVER
Our Shipper/Receiver is responsible for loading and unloading materials/products as per procedures. They are responsible for inspecting and verifying incoming/outgoing products and materials against applicable documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive all inbound shipments at the warehouse house from various divisions and external vendors
- Thoroughly inspect and verify all incoming freight for accuracy and condition.
- Prepare and ship all outbound freight, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods to meet customer requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any shipping related inquires.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct annual counts and report any discrepancies.
- Inspect forklifts and loader regularly and ensure they are in good mechanical condition.
- Perform ground maintenance tasks such as mowing grass, trimming trees, shoveling and keeping the yard tidy
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Forklift Operator certificate.
- Comfortable using various hand tools and measuring equipment
- Must be mechanically inclined and have experience with using various measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of quality and safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment; adapt to change and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative and the ability to work well with others.
