About the workplace
This role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.
We’re looking for a highly experienced ServiceNow Platform Developer to support multiple ServiceNow functions, primarily within IT Service Management, HR Service Delivery, and Security Incident Response. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting our roadmap, which includes process improvement initiatives and critical compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is self-driven, highly skilled in platform architecture and development, and comfortable owning complex workstreams from end to end.
A typical day would involve:
- Develop, test, implement, maintain, and enhance complex solutions across the ServiceNow platform with minimal supervision.
- Build and implement Custom Integrations, Custom-scoped Applications and vendor supported integrations with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, perform business analysis, and recommend strategic, scalable solutions that address diverse needs.
- Provide technical mentoring in ServiceNow development and support knowledge sharing across the team including junior developers.
- Build and analyze reports and dashboards.
- Stay current on new platform capabilities and emerging technologies, and actively evaluate on how to apply them to improve ServiceNow strategy and delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of development work, solution decisions, and system configurations to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects with minimal direction, exercising strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive results in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Ensure ServiceNow platform security configuration aligns with corporate security policies and industry best practices.

You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, with the ability to develop complex development tasks.
- Strong experience in web development and scripting on the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Integrations, Custom Scoped Applications, and developing custom Integrations.
- Experience with HR Service Delivery, Security Incident Response, and IT Service Management is a bonus.
- Certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and ServiceNow Developer Certified is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The salary range for this role is $81,200 to $122,000 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
