RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use investigative skills to autopsy products and assess causes of failures
- Repair, test, and verify assemblies and finished products using company designed fixtures and/or commercial test equipment to ensure products meet documented specifications
- Install finished assemblies or sub-assemblies into chassis using hand tools and power tools
- Package electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Document all findings and results, and generate service reports
- Communicate with customers regarding autopsy findings and/or repair estimates
- Communicate with and provide assemblies to external service centers
- Perform various other duties as required
- Liaise with customers in handling RMA
- Perform repair of RMA units and Coordinate with Shipping staff in returning repaired RMA units
QUALIFICATIONS
- Electronic Engineering Technologist Diploma
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and schematics
- Excellent understanding of components and circuits
- Good soldering skills. IPC training/certification is an asset
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in an organized manner
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
