As a Service Manager, you will oversee the service department, ensuring that all operations run smoothly while providing top-notch automotive repair services. Your role will involve managing staff, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving sales through effective upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Supervise and train service staff, including mechanics and customer service representatives.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Oversee cash handling processes and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify upselling opportunities for additional services and products.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge to assist in diagnosing issues and providing solutions.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is preferred.
- Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in sales, particularly in upselling automotive services, is a plus.
- Solid mechanical knowledge to effectively address technical issues.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Previous experience in a dealership setting is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
