SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER
Canada Summer Jobs - Temporary Maintenance Worker. Starting no later than July 7th and ending August 30th, 2025 with possible extension.
Cobourg, ON Area - 35 hours/wk.
Hourly $17.20 per hour

Requirement: Eligibility for Canada Summer Jobs positions at Karis includes the requirement for candidates to be between 18 and 30 years of age and be either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee.

The Seasonal Maintenance Worker provides general maintenance service on a daily basis. They will interact with management, employees, and people who use our services and will foster a positive environment. The Seasonal Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting with minor repairs and maintenance under the direction of the Property Maintenance Coordinator, and independently completing tasks related to yard maintenance. They will assist with the repairs for multiple programs, including some that require only occasional service.
The Seasonal Maintenance Worker will respect and uphold the Values, Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services, demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees, people using services, and both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
Requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs Program for this position:
- The candidate will work 35 hours a week for approximately 8-10 weeks;
- Be between the ages of 18-30 at the start of employment;
- Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Preferred:
- 1 year related experience
