WestCorp Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Scheduler for a short-term assignment at our client's remote site in Northern Saskatchewan. This contract role provides temporary coverage over the summer and early fall, and requires a high level of independence, technical expertise, and the ability to integrate quickly into an active industrial environment. The focus is on hands-on scheduling of routine maintenance activities essential to the safe and efficient operation of the mill. The successful candidate will stay in camp during scheduled shifts, with client-chartered flights from Saskatoon and travel reimbursement available for connecting flights from the candidate's home location.
Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and adjust daily/weekly/monthly maintenance schedules aligned with operational priorities.
- Utilize SAP S/4HANA, Prometheus, and GWOS to input, track, and optimize work orders and schedules.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, and Reliability teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize asset availability.
- Ensure all work plans comply with regulatory, safety, and maintenance standards.
- Review and incorporate backlog, preventative maintenance plans, and equipment availability into master schedules.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and supervisors regarding scheduling KPIs and progress.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on scheduling experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
- Advanced knowledge and usage of SAP S/4HANA, Prometheus, and GWOS systems.
- Proven ability to step into an existing scheduling framework with limited onboarding.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling or Trades background is an asset.
