Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills, and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced and changing work environment. The shift schedule is Sunday to Thursday from 7:00PM- 4:00AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing site Janitorial activities in our Customer Service area, Offices staff area, washrooms, Lunchroom, Edison warehouse and our off-site building;
- Carries ownership of all sanitation duties in COE area of building;
- Complies with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPP’s);
- Prepares documentation and record keeping in accordance with Cannabis Act and Health Canada guidelines;
- Collaborates to help facilitate improvement opportunities to optimize sanitation standard operating procedures and improve the overall sanitation program;
- Helps with troubleshooting and problem-solving in quality constraints as a result of sanitation challenges, liaises with operations to champion corrective actions;
- Performs other sanitation tasks if required;
- Other duties as may be assigned.
- Organized with an eye for detail;
- Willingness to learn and take direction;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team-based environment;
- Ability to meeting physical demands of position including reaching; bending, walking, standing, and performing repetitive work;
- Critical eye for troubleshooting defects with a commitment to quality and safety;
- Flexibility to work shift work if required;
- Experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset;
- You must be in good standing to be considered.
