As part of our commitment to maintaining a compliant and high-performing facility, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sanitation / Cleaning Associate to join our team in Cambridge, ON.
Summary:
The Sanitation / Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility, including all production, warehouse, and office areas. The role ensures that daily sanitation schedules are followed in accordance with SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and all company protocols. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong focus on cleanliness, safety, and compliance in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily housekeeping, sanitation, and cleaning tasks across the facility, including production, processing, warehouse, and office areas.
- Follow the established sanitation and cleaning schedules without deviation.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and surfaces according to approved SOPs and procedures.
- Safely handle and apply approved cleaning chemicals as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP plans, and all sanitation-related procedures.
- Document sanitation tasks accurately and report any deviations or concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Support cross-functional cleaning or sanitation activities as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor or Quality team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in sanitation or cleaning roles in food, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Basic understanding of sanitation principles, chemical safety, and SOPs is a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions and schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workplace.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
