Reports to: Quality Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Providing regular cleaning of the facility through sweeping, dusting, mopping vacuuming, and garbage removal.
- Disassembling, sanitizing, and reassembling food processing equipment while disposing of waste along the production line.
- Cleaning bathrooms regularly and maintaining the supply of soap, toilet paper, and towels.
- Daily recordkeeping of tasks performed as detailed on ‘Master Cleaning Schedule’.
- Liaising with all departments to ensure that Sanitation requirements are being met following the Master Sanitation schedule.
- Incorporating special or rotational cleaning duties into daily schedules to accommodate specialized cleaning or sanitation processes.
- Alignment and understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for approved cleaning products, and the safe use and application of these products.
- Following safety precautions for outdoor weather conditions such as snow removal, and de-icing.
- Using riding sweeper and scrubber for cleaning when needed.
- Completing all Sanitation documentation, data collection and analysis as required.
- Troubleshooting issues around sanitation and offering line sanitation support.
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Profile
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
- Understand the Standard Operating Procedures and inspection regulations
- Skill in organization, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is an asset
- NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
