Responsibilities
- Supervise and train retail staff to ensure high levels of customer service and sales performance.
- Manage daily store operations, including scheduling shifts and overseeing cash handling procedures.
- Conduct employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team performance.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, and merchandising displays.
- Utilize retail math to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and implement pricing strategies.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in recruiting new staff members through interviewing and onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks related to store operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in inventory control systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
- Solid understanding of retail sales principles, merchandising techniques, and marketing strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in cash handling and financial record keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
