The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue by proactively identifying, soliciting, and securing business from corporate and entertainment travel segments. Reporting in to the Director of Sales, the role involves preparing proposals, attending industry events, contributing to sales strategies, tracking performance, and supporting competitive analysis.

What You'll Do:
- Prospect, qualify, solicit, develop and negotiate new bookings through a number of proactive sales activities including sales calls, telephone and email solicitation, entertainment and hotel site inspections.
- Develop and manage relationships with top-producing business travel accounts.
- Collaborate with the front office, revenue management and the operations teams to ensure account satisfaction and repeat business.
- Attend trade shows, client events and sales trips as required.
- Prepare and customize client proposals.
- Attend and participate in industry related Associations or Committees.
- Prepare activity and sales reports/action plans.
- Contribute ideas to the Sales & Marketing action plan based on customer feedback, knowledge of the marketplace and sales targets.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Assist with the compilation of competitive intelligence information.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Respond to guest concerns and solicit guest feedback.
- Co-operate and accept other assignments management may deem necessary when required from time to time.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales & revenue targets.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you offer us:
- A minimum of 2 years of proactive sales experiencewith a focus on business travel and/or the entertainment market.
- Degree/diploma with a specialization in Hospitality preferred
- Extremely strong relationship building skills; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with Marriott Systems (CI/TY, One Yield, etc) Strong computer/system experience,
- Ability to negotiate, sell, problem solve and close
- Downtown Toronto Experience is an asset
