At Garden City Groundskeeping, we are looking for a results-driven Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for finding and developing new business opportunities, nurturing long-term relationships, and selling landscape maintenance, enhancements, and snow services across the Greater Toronto Area.
This is a client-facing role for someone proactive, organized, and motivated to grow. If you enjoy the challenge of outbound sales, building a book of business, and helping people maintain their outdoor spaces, this could be the perfect fit.

Objectives & Responsibilities
1. Drive Sales and Revenue Growth
- Develop and manage a pipeline of commercial and residential sales opportunitiesConduct site visits to assess client needs and gather all necessary project details
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for maintenance, enhancement, and snow and ice services
- Build proposals and guide prospects through the decision-making process
- Source, estimate, and close a minimum of $1,000,000.00 in new business annually
- Actively identify opportunities to upsell additional services or enhancements on existing contracts to increase revenue and strengthen client relationships
2. Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new and existing clients, from first contact through to closing
- Represent the GCG brand and systems with professionalism and company knowledge
- Host client meetings, job walks, and Lunch & Learns to generate new leads and build trust
- Maintain high client retention by securing annual renewals for at least 90% of existing contracts.
3. Grow Market Awareness
- Promote GCG at trade shows, events, and industry functions
- Build relationships with key contacts in construction, property management, design, and architecture
- Expand the company’s visibility through outbound prospecting and community engagement
4. Collaborate with the Internal Team
- Work closely with the Estimator and project team to ensure sales are aligned with execution
- Contribute to internal strategy and process improvements
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring new sales staff as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Previous Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience in landscape maintenance, property maintenance, snow & ice services or related fields
- Proven success in client-facing roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Experience selling to both homeowners and B2B clients
Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance, enhancements, and snow & ice management processes
- Ability to collect site measurements and details, and prepare or modify detailed estimates for review and finalization by the senior estimator.
Communication and Sales Skills:
- Comfortable selling in person, over the phone, and via email
- Skilled in asking good questions, handling objections, and closing deals
- Capable of presenting ideas clearly to clients, collaborators, and internal teams
Technology:
- Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
- Comfortable with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Experience with LMN or other landscape-specific software is an asset
Other Requirements:
- Valid G driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
- Willing to work occasional evenings and Saturdays during peak season
