Job Description:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Advisor plays a key role in helping the organization achieve its objectives. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, power tools, and the tooling industry. They are ambitious, results-driven, and passionate about the tool industry, with proven sales experience and a strong ability to build lasting customer relationships. Leveraging solid product knowledge, the Sales Advisor will provide expert guidance to customers to drive sales. A strong interest in learning and growing within both sales and the tooling industry is essential.
The sales advisor will deliver the best customer service in order to achieve sales objectives with a vision of business growth. This role also involves continuous training in terms of product knowledge and marketing strategies, but also special attention to the immediate market in order to maintain our position in the market in a high-traffic retail store of approximately 15,000 sq.ft. and containing nearly 8,000 products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sales-oriented with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and supplier representatives.
- Motivated to become a product expert and committed to ongoing learning within the tool industry.
- Identifies and proposes sales opportunities to the manager based on customer needs and inquiries.
- Participates in daily floor walks with the manager to ensure all standards are met, including stock levels, accurate pricing, proper promotional tagging, and overall cleanliness.
- Reviews tool-type reports for their area to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborates effectively with head office and other store locations to maintain clear and efficient communication.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of sales experience.
- Minimum 1 years in retail/industrial sales environment.
- Minimum 2 years in the tool industry or other industry related to tooling.
- Is highly motivated in delivering concrete results in sales
- Interested in learning in terms of sales growth and profitability.
- Must have the ability to work in an organized manner, have a work ethic where judgment, logical reasoning and initiative are advocated and used daily.
- Must have a functional understanding of tooling industry and product knowledge.
- Must be able to adapt to changes, delays and unforeseen events in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours/week, the 5-day work week includes 2 days off per week, Sunday (closed) and one day during the week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
