Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Laborer to join our team. This role involves working on various roofing projects, providing essential support in the construction and maintenance of roofs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete roofing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment during projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate execution of roofing plans.
- Apply caulking and other sealants to ensure waterproofing of roofs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in construction and roofing tasks.
- Experience in general construction practices, including carpentry skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading to understand project specifications.
- Previous maintenance person experience is a plus, showcasing versatility in construction-related tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
