Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and quality expectations. The Roofer will work closely with other tradespeople and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing of roofs.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in roofing.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential.
- A background as a maintenance person or carpenter is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
