This role sits within Laurentian Bank Securities, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.
Under the responsibility of the Risk Management, Manager, this person will contribute to maintaining a healthy and effective operational risk management structure and to overall compliance to internal policies and standards issued by Laurentian Bank Financial Group (hereinafter "the Group").
Responsibilities
Support the business in implementing operational risk management methodologies (risk events, risk assessment, key risk indicators, scenario analysis).
Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and partners by addressing issues and concerns in a timely manner and providing on-going advisory services.
Follow and monitor operational risk incidents and risk appetite.
Support the business in analysing root causes of operational risk events and issues and ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented.
Ensure internal risk events are logged in a timely manner.
Evaluate and recommend new controls where gaps have been identified.
Work with business units to develop key risk indicators.
Provide oversight and reporting on the effectiveness of the business continuity program, information security and supplier risk management.
Collaborate with project managers & project sponsors by conducting risk assessment of significant initiatives.
Qualifications
College or university degree in a relevant field and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
In knowledge of operational risks, internal auditing, process analysis and/or internal control frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000)
In Knowledge /Experience of investment products
