Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Dining Room Supervisor and Server to oversee all front-of-house operations at our restaurant. This role is responsible for managing front-of-house staff, ensuring outstanding customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in both serving and supervising in a high-volume restaurant setting. Note: This position does not include kitchen responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers, to ensure seamless service and adherence to restaurant standards.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional guest experiences by actively engaging with customers, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction. Step in to serve tables during peak times to maintain service flow.
- Front-of-House Operations: Oversee dining room setup, cleanliness, and ambiance. Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and wait times to optimize guest flow.
- Team Coordination: Schedule front-of-house staff, manage shift assignments, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet service demands.
- Inventory and Supplies: Monitor front-of-house supplies (e.g., menus, tableware, condiments) and coordinate with management for restocking needs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle customer complaints and staff conflicts professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Reporting: Provide feedback to management on staff performance, guest feedback, and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a restaurant setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead server role.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a front-of-house team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) and POS systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional demeanor with a passion for hospitality.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
