Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership and customer service skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, food and labour costs. and maintaining high standards of service and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety.
- Manage POS systems, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Lead and train staff in food handling, customer service, and hospitality best practices.
- Conduct interviews and hire new team members to build a strong workforce.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Implement food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to create menu items that meet customer preferences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Mediterranean restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and supervision.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
- Previous experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff is advantageous.
- Background in hospitality or hotel management is a plus.
