Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and providing recommendations to enhance their meal.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary restrictions are noted.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments accurately, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils between customers.
- Assist with food preparation as needed during busy shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus.
