Job Summary:
Chai Mehfil is looking for a motivated and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing flavorful food with attention to detail and cleanliness. You’ll be responsible for cooking a variety of menu items to company standards, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and supporting a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, and equipment.
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate food preparation and service.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with restocking and inventory control.
- Follow portion control and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen staff in a restaurant or food service setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
