Appraisal West Real Estate Corp. is a well-established real estate appraisal firm, providing quality appraisal services to a wide variety of clients in the Interior of British Columbia. We are seeking a new residential appraiser.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A real estate appraiser estimates the value of land and the buildings on that land, before it is sold, mortgaged, taxed, insured or developed. The appraiser is required to conduct an inspection of the property, analyze comparable sales, apply valuation methods and provide the client with an unbiased market value of their property in report form.
REQUIREMENTS:
Self-motivation, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical qualities. The ideal candidate will have great time management skills, willingness to learn, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The qualified applicant will be willing to take steps towards and be fully insured and in good standing & active with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC). No experience necessary as we offer great training by experienced appraisers. Previous experience in the real estate or trades industry is considered an asset. The completion of a degree is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Conduct thorough data collection and analysis to assess property values accurately. --Demonstrate strong organizational skill to manage multiple appraisal projects efficiently.
-Employ effective time management to meet deadlines and client expectations.
-Collaborate with team members to communicate findings clearly to ensure a smooth appraisal process.
-Apply mathematical and Excel skills as required to perform calculations related to property assessments.
COMPENSATION
Remuneration is salary or a fee split contract, depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
