As part of our institutional commitment to accessible research outputs, and under the co-supervision of the Librarian, Scholarly Communication, and the Manager of EDI in Research, this position will:
- Create a database of RRU researchers’ research outputs over the last 5 years
- Review and collate accessibility standards of publishers
- Compile a report on accessibility in relation to research outputs, including accessibility standards and initiatives for different publishers, repositories, and knowledge sharing tools.
- Develop a report on ways to support accessibility in institutional research outputs
This project can be used to meet a student’s required coursework.

Job Requirements
The student should demonstrate that they are:
- capable of managing a project with multiple sources and outputs
- capable of working independently
- capable of exercising professional judgment
- enrolled in an ALA-accredited program in library and information studies
- familiar with the scholarly publishing/research output ecosystem, including the use of bibliographic tools such as Scopus and OpenAlex
- skilled at the use of Excel
- able to communicate clearly in writing
Additional Information
This is a casual, on-call position from June 2025 to August 2025. The hourly rate is $34.92. Due to its limited term nature, this position is not eligible for enrolment in the University’s Benefits Plan, but you will be provided with 4% in lieu of vacation.
