Remote Camp General Kitchen Helper
Location: Semi-Remote North of Winnipeg, Manitoba
Expeditorsplus, Inc. Camp Services is currently seeking a trained individual to work in the position as Camp General Kitchen Helper. The successful candidate is responsible for assisting the 1st Cook in meal prep and general kitchen/dining duties. They will consistently provide positive service and assistance with all camp employees and guests while making sure to follow all policies and guidelines as set out by Health and Safety Guidelines.

Position Title: Kitchen General Helper
Location: Remote Work Camp
Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off; 12 hour shifts
Reports To: Camp Chef / Kitchen Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Kitchen General Helper is responsible for assisting kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining sanitary standards in a high-volume remote camp environment. This role ensures smooth operation of kitchen and dining services while supporting overall camp hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist cooks with basic food prep (cutting vegetables, preparing sandwiches, etc.)
- Set up and maintain buffet lines and dining areas
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and workstations
- Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dining area as necessary
- Manage garbage disposal and restock supplies as needed
- Help receive and store food and supply deliveries
- Comply with food safety and hygiene standards
- Perform other general duties as assigned by kitchen supervisors
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in food service, janitorial, or hospitality is required
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work on feet for long periods
- Strong work ethic, team player, and ability to work in remote conditions
- Knowledge of WHMIS and food safety regulations is preferred
- Must be comfortable with extended camp stays
