Role Details
As a logistics leadership volunteer, you will be part of our organizing committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.
Description
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
As the volunteer Registration & Finance Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Detailed tracking of event costs and projected budget
- Supporting the T-Shirt Pick-Up Coordinator with T-shirt pick up on event day and early T-shirt pick-up (if necessary).
- Training T-Shirt Pick-Up Tent volunteers and overseeing them on event day.
- Setting up, tearing down, and supervising T-Shirt Pick-Up tent on event day.
- Supplying all invoices and event paperwork to CCS staff partner post-event.
Why we need you
It is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.

- Communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong sense of self-motivation and time management.
Must be 18+ to apply and complete the Canadian Cancer Society code of conduct.

Your commitment
- This is a 6-month commitment (May through October).
- Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly).
- Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 6-8 hours per month, with increased workload August & September).
- Must be available over the event weekend (October 4 & October 5)
