Title:
Regional Mental Health and Wellness Liaison
Salary: $88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Fraser Salish Region, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Stó:lo¯ Nations – Hybrid


About the role

As Regional Mental Health and Wellness Liaison, you will be providing support to First Nations communities as they navigate our regional health systems. You will be working closely with individuals, families, communities, and regional health authority mental health and substance use teams, bridging connections between them and FNHA’s services. As an expert navigator of mental health and wellness resources, you will advocate and be a liaison for communities to ensure they have access to the support they need.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 5-7 years of significant, recent and relevant mental health and wellness experience.
  • Experience working in a regional mental health and substance use setting, particularly with First Nations individuals, families, communities, and/or organizations.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary mental health and wellness teams.

Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of the BC mental health and substance use system, regionally available mental health and substance use services and supports, as well as the current First Nations health landscape.
  • Strong understanding of First Nations perspective on health and wellness and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of person-centred principles to deliver holistic, integrated, and culturally respectful services.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
