Position Summary
The Regional Childcare Manager will provide on-site, hands-on leadership across multiple licensed childcare centres. This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant programming aligned with organizational goals. The manager will work daily in centres, support expansion projects, and collaborate closely with supervisors and the Director to drive enrollment, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Center Operations & Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple childcare centres, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct daily site visits to assess centre performance, resolve challenges, and monitor program quality.
- Ensure all facilities meet standards for cleanliness, maintenance, equipment, and supplies.
- Implement systems and procedures to promote consistency and efficiency across all locations (e.g., CRM tools, curriculum templates).
- Collaborate with the Director on performance metrics and operational strategies through regular meetings (monthly, bi-monthly, annual).
- Support the opening and setup of new childcare centres as needed.
2. Leadership & Staff Development
- Supervise, coach, and mentor Centre Supervisors to foster leadership growth, performance, and accountability.
- Conduct regular evaluations, mentorship sessions, and professional development planning alongside the Centre Supervisor.
- Lead onboarding, orientation, and training of educators and supervisors.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration.
- Oversee staff scheduling, hiring, and staffing adequacy across all locations.
- Support Supervisors in using adequate time off as approved by the Director.
3. Program Quality & Compliance
- Ensure high-quality early childhood education programs are delivered consistently.
- Monitor curriculum planning, program execution, and supply availability following organizational expectations.
- Conduct audits and implement corrective actions where necessary to meet compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of operations to uphold licensing, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
- Support risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
4. Budgeting & Resource Management
- Develop and manage site budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation aligned with financial targets.
- Oversee administrative tasks including payroll, billing, and centre-level budgeting as approved by the director.
- Monitor financial performance and deadlines and collaborate with the Director to adjust plans as needed.
5. Enrollment & Family Engagement
- Drive enrollment growth in collaboration with Centre Supervisors and the Operational Director.
- Oversee program enrollment strategies, including tours and community engagement (Events, Open House).
- Maintain high standards of customer service by responding to parent concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Foster strong relationships with families and ensure clear, ongoing communication.
- Ensure centre social media content is timely, relevant, and supports community engagement.
6. Community Relations
- Act as a liaison between centres and the local community to build awareness and support enrollment.
- Promote inclusive and welcoming environments for families and staff.
- Represent the organization at community events and relevant local meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- 10 years or more expereince in the Early Childhood Education Field
- Knowledge of business management over 3 years
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in multi-site childcare or educational operations.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario’s childcare licensing and regulatory framework.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage operational complexity, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently between locations.
Skills & Competencies

- Strong budgeting and financial oversight skills.
- Conflict resolution and team-building expertise.
- Familiarity with tools such as Level 10, KPI’s, CRMs, scheduling software, and curriculum platforms.
- Strong presentation and reporting abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions, expectations and implement tasks in a timely manner.
- Frequent speaking, listening, and computer use (50–75%)
- Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs (5–25%)
- Must be proficient in English (written and spoken)
Work Conditions
- May work beyond regular hours depending on operational needs.
- Year-round position with frequent local travel and occasional regional travel (25–50%).
- Must be willing to do overnight stays on regional travel
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to management meetings and strategic planning.
- Perform other duties as required to support agency goals and growth.
- Working on site and performing job tasks as required based on the needs of the operations daily
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
