Malley’s Seafood is seeking a skilled and passionate Red Seal Chef to join our kitchen and help elevate our seafood and gourmet offerings. With a reputation for premium quality and exceptional customer service, we are looking for a culinary professional who values fresh ingredients, creative presentation, and consistent excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute high-quality seafood and meat-based dishes with precision and care
- Design daily specials and contribute to seasonal menu planning
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are met
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and ongoing culinary development
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering to maintain optimal stock and reduce waste
- Collaborate with management to maintain Malley’s standards of quality and consistency
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification in Cooking (mandatory)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of seafood preparation, butchery, and diverse cooking techniques
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Food Safety Certification required
