Town of Inuvik is looking for a full-time, experienced Recreation Coordinator to join our team. The Recreation Coordinator reports to the Director of Parks, Recreation & Leisure and is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering a wide range of recreation programs and events for the Town of Inuvik. This position plays a key role in coordinating community-based activities, supporting volunteer development, and promoting active living and wellness.
The Recreation Coordinator works closely with staff, volunteers, and community organizations to ensure that programs meet the diverse needs of residents and helps foster leadership and participation throughout the community.

Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Education in Recreation, Sports Administration, or a related field; equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering recreation programs
- Strong understanding of recreation program design, delivery, and evaluation methods
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, support, and motivate staff
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with the public, staff, and community groups
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
The successful candidate must pass a vulnerable sector criminal record check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,117.50-$109,005.00 per year
