We’re looking for a motivated, full-time Receiver who excel in a fast-paced, challenging work environment and is passionate about top-notch customer service. This is a 1-year term position with the potential to become permanent.
About the Role
Our Receiver checks incoming merchandise and preps packages for mailing, keeps price books and catalogs up-to-date and unloads the Home Hardware delivery truck from the distribution centre. Additionally, when not receiving they assist Retail Sales Associate in providing prompt courteous and efficient service to customers, replenishing merchandise; cycle counting, general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, and restocking.

What We’re Looking for in You
- Previous experience as a receiver in a warehouse environment an asset
- Safety conscious with experience in safe use of equipment. (i.e. pallet jack)
- Hardware, Lumber & Building materials industry knowledge a plus!
- Visual/Spatial aptitude
- Basic math skills
- Computer literate (inventory system databases)
- Customer Service Experience
- Able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), and be on your feet all day (walk/stand)
- Retail Background is an Asset
- Responsible and dependable, with the ability to Work Holidays and Weekends
- Above and Beyond Customer Service Attitude a must!
- Excellent Communication Skills
