What is the role?
The Raker will report to the Asphalt Plant Manager. The ideal candidate must have prior experience using a lute to spread and level hot asphalt with precision and efficiency. Duties are:
- Rake, spread, and level asphalt to fine grade specifications
- Use lute or rake to distribute asphalt mix on road surfaces and construction areas
- Work closely with paver operator, roller operator, and crew members to ensure smooth and even surfaces
- Assist in setting up job sites, including traffic control and site safety
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
