What you will do
The Purchasing Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing storeroom operations, ensuring the availability and procurement of inventory materials and parts as well as administering SAP MRO related tasks and master data.
- Supervise the Storeroom keeper/clerk to identify and resolve operational challenges while implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliable sourcing and procurement of MRO supplies.
- Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidation efforts, and competitive bidding projects for storeroom parts and maintenance-related purchases.
- Support Maintenance personnel in identifying and acquiring necessary parts and supplies.
- Oversee the initial provisioning of new inventory parts within the SpareFinder database.
- Owner of the MRO inventory and responsible for generating and weekly cycle counts.
- Utilize e-commerce platforms (e.g., Ariba) to streamline storeroom-related purchases.
- Lead 5S projects in the maintenance storeroom and enforce compliance with preventive maintenance practices of the spare parts and all storage locations.
- Analyze MRP-driven demand to ensure optimal inventory levels and accurate parts fulfillment.
- Oversee vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs and procurement processes for storeroom materials.
- Process MRO purchase orders with required documentation and maintain annual PO procedures.
- Coordinate interplant transfers to optimize stock availability.

What makes you stand out from the crowd?
- Preferred: College or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in storeroom or maintenance operations within an industrial setting.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to travel occasionally for training, vendor visits, or site support.
- Strong negotiation skills and 3+ years of experience managing contracts and inventory.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay for this position ranges from 70 000$ to 85 000$ per year. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to education, experience, skills and qualifications as they relate to the role. Fully qualified and experienced candidates will typically align near the midpoint. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
