ContainerWest is looking for a Purchaser to support the production of modular steel buildings and enclosures.
The keys to this role are:
· Industrial or construction experience in Vancouver
· ERP system and Excel skills
· Inventory management
· Relationships with suppliers and the production team
· Passion for industrial activities. This position is located within the shop.
CORE DUTIES
· Work with Engineering to develop Bills of Materials and purchase lists for each job
· Purchase and receive
· Job close, ensuring materials are correctly issued
· Help with Production Support generally (create schedules, share operating reports, help with audits or to update records etc)
REQUIREMENTS
· 2 year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in an applied field
· Work experience in industrial admin/ops/inventory/purchasing
· Familiarity with any ERP, inventory or job tracking system
· Purchasing or planning experience
· Confident sharing and reviewing your work within the team. Comfortable with informal communication as well as traditional reports.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel spreadsheets
· Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Fluent in English.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time position during normal weekday business hours. While rare, evening or weekend work may be required to meet a rush deadline. Compensation will depend on experience and the value the candidate brings to the role.
