Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Project Risk Specialist.
- Coordinate and drive Front End Planning (FEP) processes and facilitate risk, scoping, and value engineering workshops.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and budgets using tools such as Primavera and MS Project.
- Monitor and control project progress, perform schedule and cost analysis, and report on project metrics.
- Ensure compliance with change management processes and maintain baseline integrity.
- Interface with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering, and external contractors.
- Support project closeout, including financial reconciliation and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and systems.
- 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years experience in project controls or project management support, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, estimating, and scheduling.
- Proficient with project and financial systems (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, SAP).
- Skilled in conducting risk assessments, engaging stakeholders, and enforcing risk management processes.
- Experience in risk analysis, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
- Ability to integrate PMI and AACE International principles into project management activities.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
