Proper Drywall is a fast-growing, non-union contractor serving the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in commercial drywall and interior systems. Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of drywall projects—from planning and budgeting through execution and closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a deep understanding of commercial construction processes, and brings hands-on experience with drywall systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple drywall projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec.
- Coordinate project schedules, foreman, site crews, and suppliers.
- Prepare and review project budgets, estimates, change orders, and contracts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and general contractors.
- Conduct site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve project issues and delays proactively.
- Prepare regular progress reports, daily site and performance reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Work closely with estimators, site supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial drywall or related construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of drywall systems, steel stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and blueprint reading.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Excel), and construction documentation.
- PMP Certification or equivalent training is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Pickup truck is an asset)
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other relevant health & safety certifications required
- Proven track record managing crews and delivering projects on schedule

Pay: $55,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
