THE POSITION


ATTA Elevators is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of a Project Coordinator and Estimating Support for Elevator Modernization at the Vancouver location. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, estimating support, and customer service within the elevator or construction industry. This position requires effective communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:


Project Coordination

  • Oversee and coordinate elevator modernization projects from inception to completion.
  • Create detailed project schedules, ensuring timelines are met and milestones are achieved.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, engineers, technicians, and clients to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Track project progress, solve issues as they arise, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies on all assigned projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.

Estimating Support

  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and estimates for elevator modernization projects.
  • Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specifications to determine material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing for materials and equipment.
  • Develop competitive and accurate bids to secure projects while maintaining profitability.
  • Regularly update cost databases to reflect current market rates and trends.
  • Prepare and submit bid packages in response to public tenders, RFPs and bid invitations.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of project estimates, contracts, change orders, and financial tracking.
  • Generate regular progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and filed appropriately.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements


  • Proven experience in project coordination and estimating support, preferably in the elevator or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of elevator modernization processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., ASME A17.1, local building codes).
  • A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
