ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:


Reporting to the First Nations Associate Chief Executive Officer, the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Program Manager provides operational oversight for the Mobile Crisis Team staff and nurtures alignment with our organizational performance goals, our organizational core values, and specifically our strategic drivers of becoming youth centric centre of excellence built upon culturally responsive services and programs. The Program Manager will be responsible to be a steward of collaborative service delivery and lead the operational implementation of the organization’s priorities and frameworks to achieve the vision and purpose of the resource within the Youth Case Stabilization System (YCSS).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In consultation and collaboration with the Program Manager and First Nations Associate Chief Executive Officer, the Crisis Response Mentor coordinates and implements strategies, plans, programs, projects, tools, data and reports for the YCSS program that achieve the organizational goals
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of youth crisis response services, ensuring alignment with program goals and community-centered values.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate protocols and procedures for rapid crisis intervention and stabilization.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary crisis response teams (clinicians, outreach workers, cultural support staff, etc.).
  • Promotes and liaises with community partners and families to determine the future needs and direction for the program
  • Ensure services are responsive to the cultural, developmental, and emotional needs of youth in crisis.
  • Promote respectful and strength-based engagement with youth and their families.
  • Ensure families and caregivers are supported and included in crisis planning and aftercare coordination.
  • Advocate for youth voice and choice throughout the stabilization process.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with service providers, schools and community resources
  • Participate in interagency crisis planning, emergency response coordination, and community wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure crisis response protocols reflect the worldviews, values, and healing practices of served demographics.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data to the First Nations Associate Chief Executive Officer or designate, including crisis incidents, response times, outcomes, and service gaps.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives based on evaluation findings.
  • Prepare reports for funders, governing bodies, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, funding agreements, and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor and manage risks related to youth safety, staff wellbeing, and community response.
  • Lead crisis response preparedness planning, including drills, contingency planning, and resource mobilization.
  • Provide On Call Support on a rotational basis to YCSS and other Link program areas
  • Facilitate trainings and workshops for collaterals upon request

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of the history of Canada and the impacts on First Nations communities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations experiences, healing modalities, and wholistic wellness.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous supports and resources
  • Master’s Degree in relevant discipline
  • Combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing supervision
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working within the community wellness sector
  • Strong working relationships with community organizations.
  • Demonstrated change management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to foster alignment within leadership teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and interpersonal skill

**Valid drivers license and use of personal vehicle is a requirement for this position**

SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum.

HOURS OF WORK: Varied shifts including: days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
