POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager, Hog Logistics, the incumbent has direct accountability for planning hog production cycles, livestock driver and transportation schedules while co-ordinating and communicating with the business to execute the planned movements.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Reporting to the Manager, Hog Logistics, the incumbent has direct accountability for planning hog production cycles, livestock driver and transportation schedules while co-ordinating and communicating with the business to execute the planned movements.
A SNAPSHOT OF SOME OF THE EXCITING THINGS YOU WILL DO:
- Cycle based production planning and inventory management for barns
- Development of transport schedule, including drivers weekly schedule
- Maintain planning databases and SAP logistical information
- Create/manage cycles to facilitate process orders for hog production
- Generate shipping documents and assess returning documentation
- Proficiency in understanding and resolving scheduling issues
- Maintain working relationships with 3rd party transport vendors, processing plant customers, as well as internal customer relationships with Hog Production, Finance, QA, Feed and Animal Health Team
- Assist with period end processes as required
- Provide administrative support and vacation coverage where required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- 3 – 5 years of related experience in a formal planning role, preferably in an SAP environment. Strong understanding of work in process systems.
- 2 – 3 years proven SAP experience
- Experience with cycle-based production considered an asset

- Computer (MS Excel, Database Mgmt.)
- Ability to work efficiently with all operations

- Ability to be on a call (approx. every 3rd week)
- Experience working in a livestock business considered an asset
- Equivalent combinations of education, experience and training will be considered
