We are Sheldon Creek Dairy, a food processing facility located in Loretto Ontario. We are seeking a hands-on, fast-thinking Production Lead to oversee production line operations in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands how to keep the line moving efficiently, and is mechanically inclined with a strong sense of leadership.
This role is critical in maintaining smooth daily operations, ensuring minimal downtime, supporting team performance, and assisting with both equipment and staff-related coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day production line operations to ensure output targets and quality standards are met
- Quickly identify bottlenecks or issues on the line and implement immediate fixes to maintain continuous operation
- Adjust, troubleshoot, and fine-tune machinery to keep everything running smoothly
- Support scheduling and deployment of staff to meet production needs
- Work closely with maintenance and inventory teams to ensure necessary equipment and parts are available and functioning
- Collaborate with management on process improvements and efficiency gains
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust or troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising teams
- Strong understanding of production flow and efficiency optimization
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and make fast, effective decisions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety best practices
