We’re looking for a Product Designer to play a pivotal role in our partnerships initiatives, contributing to new experiences and offerings that integrate Lyft with other companies and brands. You'll work alongside designers, engineers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and product managers to define and create top-notch experiences with Riders needs at the center of your work. This role focuses on creating innovative, user-centered solutions that enhance the Lyft ecosystem through strategic partnerships.
You’ll advocate for a customer-centric approach and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. From initial ideation through to launch, you'll support projects with interaction, visual, and product thinking skills, helping to define and deliver impactful experiences for our Rider Segments team.
The opportunity
By joining our Rider Core Experience team, you will design for high-impact rider surfaces that are central to Lyft’s growth and success. You’ll work on design strategy and execution across initiatives focused on rider conversion, retention, and service excellence within the Lyft app. You’ll help shape the product strategy for our core rideshare products used by millions of riders every day. You’ll collaborate closely with partners in product, engineering, and research to build thoughtful, intuitive solutions that raise the bar for transportation experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Think big, explore diverse ideas, and iterate towards a creative, feasible solution that aligns with partnership goals and Rider needs.
- Leverage research insights, user data, and analytics to inform design decisions, ensuring solutions are user-centered and partnership-friendly.
- Create and deliver high-quality wireframes, mockups, user journeys, and interactive prototypes that adhere to design standards.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ideate, iterate, and implement partnership-driven features and services.
- Apply systems thinking to create cohesive experiences across integration points, ensuring consistency between Lyft and partner brands.
- Share and present work across teams with clear design rationale, fostering a collaborative, design-driven culture.
- Contribute new ideas and solutions to inspire both the design team and cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with team members across functions to ensure a seamless, intuitive Rider experience within the Lyft ecosystem and in partnership with other brands.
- Prioritize design solutions that address Rider needs and add brand value to both Lyft and partner offerings.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience working in UX, UI, HCI related field with experience working on mobile
- Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile web, Desktop, etc)
- Strong systems thinking abilities, understanding how different parts of an experience interact and contribute to a cohesive product.
- Product thinking across businesses, with experience or interest in designing for partnership or cross-brand environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly proficient with design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Highly proficient with interactive prototyping tools (Framer, Principle, Origami, etc.)
- Excellence in design craft
- Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, cross-functional team
- Excited about working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $108,000 - CAD $135,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
