Position Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Produce Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our produce department. The ideal candidate is experienced with fresh produce, organized, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and values strong relationships with local growers. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes inventory management, team supervision, merchandising, and ensuring top-notch product quality for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the produce department
- Maintain and grow relationships with local produce suppliers and growers
- Forecast, order, and receive produce shipments
- Price products and calculate margins to ensure profitability
- Ensure attractive and effective product displays
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-in coolers, a warehouse and display units
- Train, schedule, and manage produce department team members
- Coordinate closely with other department managers to support smooth store operations
- Uphold food safety and quality control standards

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a produce department or grocery retail environment required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in ordering, inventory, and pricing/margin management
- Ability to lift and move produce boxes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Passion for local food and sustainable farming is a strong asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
